Welcome to the ArianeSoft Inc. OpenVision development blog.
Who is ArianeSoft Inc. ?
The company is owned by myself (Alain Deschenes) and has been active since April 2006. We have created and published a programming language called PPL (short for Pocket Programming Language) for Windows and Windows Mobile devices. We have also developed DataMite, a data extraction software for Windows. In 2009 we shifted focus and made modest success with iPhone games up until this day.
We are now going back to our roots by bringing a new product for Mac and Windows.
What is OpenVision?
The product is called OpenVision and is a shell environment for the modern age computing. It uses HTML for all text rendering. It has a very evolved and simple custom language with a small set of commands. Support for the Lua programming language is also integrated in the form of expressions. All data is handled via a table-like variable system for easy and fast manipulation. It supports FTP, http, pop3 and smtp protocols within the shell. It has regular expressions support and so much more...
Data can be represented visually via views. Views can display data in different formats. The initial formats are text, table and web.
Plugins can be written to enhance the console or any view.
Plugins, settings and shell script files can be stored in the cloud to carry your computing environment with you wherever you go.
It might not sound very interesting right now but we will convince you very soon. We will reveal details about each feature on a weekly basis.
Stay tuned...
